In highly urban areas, permeable paver systems reduce the size and expense of stormsewer infrastructure and increase pedestrian safety through traffic calming benefits. Rain gardens or sumped landscaping can receive roof runoff and provide a unique landscaping accent. Both techniques add long-term value to a site and can be used in combination to create a sustainable site or alone to improve exterior function and aesthetics.
